Forrest J Ackerman, the magazine editor who discovered science fiction author Ray Bradbury and is credited with coining the term “sci-fi,” died Thursday at his Los Angeles home. He was 92. Ackerman, the founding editor of pulp mag Famous Monsters of Filmland, helped Bradbury start his own sci-fi publication, Futuria Fantasia.
